This is only the second weekend since Christmas where we've had absolutely nothing planned. It seems that our weekends have been taken over by traveling (not that I'm complaining), cooking for friends, being cooked for by friends, baby dates, shopping, errands, etc.
It's been so easy to forget what it feels like to rest, spend time with our little family and get ready for the week ahead.
We resisted the urge to go to the commissary, the px, Lidl, and the red cross all for the sake of doing nothing, going nowhere and just being home.
It was lovely.
Meatloaf really took this to the extreme by sleeping for 44.75 hours of the entire weekend.
(oh gosh, i just love him!)
Good thing we had this weekend, as the next two weekends will be busy as we head to the "land of the wooden shoes" (sorry to reference Sex and the City there but I couldn't help it) and prepare for Chad's long departure. Boo.
