Babies, Barbecues and Brrrrrr

It was a baby bonanza at the Brewsters this weekend.
They also had a BBQ.
I didn't know you could spend hours taking pictures of three babies and really enjoy it.
Apparently, you can.
There was even an outfit change. (My mom bought them matching outfits and it was a 'now or never' moment because they're growing out of them unfortunately).
Chad was not enthused by the baby picture taking so he took a nap with the dog.
And it's been absolutely freezing... bone chilling freezing and snow flakes- plastered- to- a -piece- of- glass -outside freezing. But no snow.
Happy Sunday!

Rhett...

You're Beautiful.

Babies are always more trouble than you thought - and more wonderful. ~Charles Osgood

*I guarantee my brother will give me crap regarding Rhett's mohawk.
**Chad refused to show his face in the butt picture because he didn't want to be involved in anything involving naked baby pictures on the internet.

Rhett Takes London - Day 4

Our last day proved to be the most stressful.... apparently the day you have to check out babies sense the urgency and will do everything in their little power to keep you from being on time.
It also rained until noon which put a damper on things but we were still packing at noon so it was okay.
We finally checked out and stored our luggage but we had some souvenir shopping to do and we wanted to walk a bit before getting on the tube and heading for the airport.
Before checking out, we had to take Rhett's 5 month photos... as you can tell he was very enthused about this.
He was happier when we finally got out of our hotel room and Daddy began singing to him.
After buying souvenirs, stopping for a bite to eat and getting on the tube 40 minutes later than we should have... we finally made it to the airport and were headed home (barely).
The story where we get stuck in the parking garage in Stuttgart for an hour will have to wait for another day.

Rhett Takes London- Day 3

Sunday we woke up to sun peeking in our hotel window... it was great considering we haven't seen much sun in Stuttgart lately.
The Red Lion is where we had dinner on Friday night... looked different in the day light.
We had breakfast at the same little cafe every morning...
In the winter, they only do changing of the guard every other day so on Sunday we attempted to see it. Unfortunately, it started raining and Rhett wasn't feeling it so we saw them walk in with music and that was about it. Maybe next time...
(p.s. The Queen was home! Hence, the raised flag.)
After Rhett had a little snack he was ready to get back in action and we walked through St. James' Park looking at all the birds (over 40 species of water foul for your information).
We really appreciated these friendly reminders...
After the park we took a ferry to the Tower of London...
We saw the ravens, the crown jewels and where Anne Boleyn was beheaded.
Then we headed to Afternoon Tea which was amazing. The sandwiches, scones and cakes. I would enjoy this everyday.
Afternoon tea became evening tea and we headed home...
Our last London day tomorrow!

I can't forget to mention that little man is 5 months old today! We cheated and took his 5 month old picture in London. Lucky baby, he'll celebrate his 6 month birthday in another country too...stay tuned for that.

Rhett takes London- Day 2

I have laundry up to my ears and my house is a disaster but I'm taking a break while Rhett is entertained by a toy with lights and really annoying music to blog about our second day in London. And since I like to multitask I'm also watching 'Meet Me in St. Louis' because it's not Netflix's fault our mail room moves incredibly slow. Moving on...
Day 2 in London was equally lovely... no sun but no rain so we were happy.
Took the below shot with my new lens.
After a quick breakfast, the first thing on our agenda was to visit Westminster Abbey. Chad couldn't wait to see Sir Isaac Newton's grave and I was just excited about the whole experience. The four of us were amazed that both babies slept the entire tour. It was great! I also had time to light a candle and write a prayer card.
After Westminster Abbey we walked over to Winston Churchill's war rooms... the babies were less cooperative but we were able to see a lot of it and it was very interesting. I did learn how much a baby's cry echos in an underground bunker. I'm pretty sure most people hated us for a good 5 minutes.
We walked through Whitehall, past the horse guards and towards the National Gallery looking for something to eat. We found a pub with PIES and they were quite tasty.
Chad had 'bangers and mash' but it is my belief he only ordered these because he wanted an excuse to say 'bangers and mash' over and over- which he took advantage of. Trust me.
Our next stop was the National Gallery which I really enjoyed. I love the impressionists. We also saw Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers,' Leonardo da Vinci's 'The Leonardo Cartoon' and Renoir's 'At the Theater.'
By the time we emerged from the National Gallery it was dark but early so we walked to Piccadilly Circus- which didn't excite us that much- and we decided to head back to our hotel.
Our evening ended with room service in the Brewster's room and an early bedtime.

Until tomorrow...
