Rhett Takes London- Day 1

Whew... Monday evening we returned from a whirlwind trip to London. We had a wonderful time including relatively nice weather for the city and two cooperative (for the most part) 5 month old infants in tow.
I would LOVE to return to London some day even though I think with 10 visits you could never see all the city has to offer.
This quick trip allowed us to see some highlights, eat some pub grub and be surrounded by people who speak our language (sort of).

I dropped the dogs off the day before we left so we had the entire house to ourselves for one evening.... it was really quiet.
Rhett ready to go the morning of...
That white noise was helpful with napping...
Unfortunately the napping didn't last long and shortly after this photo was taken Rhett pooped. Twice.
We took the tube to our hotel and got settled and cleaned up just in time for the rain to stop...
Our first dinner was at The Red Lion near Westminster Abbey where we all had fish and chips. And beer.
We also learned that every time I went to snap a picture of Rhett he did the following pose...
After dinner, the weather was still dry so the 3 of us took a walk around Parliament square and along the Thames.
Day one in London left us all a little tired.... especially the little man.

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. ~Mark Twain
